China to play a more active role in regional, int’l affairs in 2014

BEIJING, Jan. 21 (People's Daily Online) -- China put forward a series of proposals for reforms in 2013 and will play a more active role in regional and international affairs in 2014, said Li Zhaoxing, Chairman of the China Public Diplomacy Association Monday.

“Last year was remarkable because the Communist Party of China put forward a series of brilliant ideas and suggestions. China comprehensively developed its diplomatic ties with developing countries, surrounding nations and global powers. China will play a more active role in regional and global affairs and make more contributions in safeguarding the world peace and promoting the joint development of our human beings,” said Li Zhaoxing at a cultural gathering greeting the 2014 Chinese New Year.

“China Public Diplomacy Association, which was found in December 2012, has held many activities in the year, such as forums for Chinese enterprise going abroad, China-Europe Forum, Symposium of Chinese Dream, Symposium of China-US ties,” said Li.

“In 2014 the association will continue its efforts, such as the upcoming forum for Chinese enterprise going to Latin America, to promote foreign exchanges,“ added Li.

China Public Diplomacy Association is a non-profit organization which dedicates to providing professional consultation and coordination service to advance the development of China's public diplomacy.
