NEW DELHI, Dec. 11 -- Indian customs department officials Wednesday arrested 11 people, including five Chinese nationals, and seized 179 kg of red sandalwood, two kg of gold bars and five kg of drugs from the NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata, the capital of the east Indian state of West Bengal, around 1,500 km from here.

Airport customs assistant commissioner R.S. Meena said the red sandalwood seized is worth 180,000 rupees (nearly 3,000 U.S. dollars) in India but much higher in China.
