ADDIS ABABA, Nov. 24 -- A high-level Chinese delegation led by Vice Premier Liu Yandong on Sunday arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a three-day working visit.
The visit is believed to further strengthen the existing friendship and cooperation between Ethiopia and China in all sectors in general and in health, education, science and technology areas in particular.
During the delegation's visit at the Addis Ababa University, Genet Teshome, Director General for Asia and Oceania Affairs at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Liu would meet and hold talks with the Ethiopian President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister during her stay in Ethiopia.
Genet said the latest visit of the Chinese delegation to Ethiopia has significant contribution in taking the relations and cooperation between the two countries to a higher level, particularly in health, education, science and technology.
The two sides are also expected to sign about eight agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to further enhance the cooperation between Ethiopia and China on education, research and cultural exchanges among others, according to the Director General.
