Chinese vice premier to visit US, Ethiopia

BEIJING, Nov. 13 -- Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong will pay visits to the United States and Ethiopia from Nov. 17 to 27, the Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.

Invited by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Liu will attend the fourth China-U.S. High-level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange in the United States, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a routine press briefing.

Liu will visit Ethiopia at the invitation of Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, Qin said.
