The third round of the China-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strategic dialogue will be held next week in Beijing, a Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

The dialogue will be held on Monday, spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily news briefing.

According to Hua, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Bahraini counterpart Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa will co-chair the meeting. Bahrain holds the rotating presidency of the council in 2013.

Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, the United Arab Emirates' Minister of Energy Suhail Bin Mohammed Al Mazroui, Saudi State Minister For Foreign Affairs Nizar Obaid Madani, GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif Bin Rushid Al Zayani and other representatives will attend the meeting.

China and the GCC had their first round of strategic dialogue in June 2010 in Beijing. The second round was held in the United Arab Emirates in May 2011.

The GCC, a regional political and economic alliance established in 1981, has members including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
