BEIJING, Oct. 8 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Tuesday after state visits to Indonesia and Malaysia and attendance at the 21st leaders' meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
At the APEC meeting, Xi expounded on China's position on the global economic situation, the country's reform measures, and APEC's role in boosting multilateral trade, promoting connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region, and safeguarding sustainable and fair growth.
Xi also attended a dialogue meeting with representatives of the APEC Business Advisory Council and met with leaders from APEC members, including Russia, South Korea and Australia.
Before attending the APEC summit, Xi visited Indonesia and Malaysia on his first trip to Southeast Asia since taking office in March.
