Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid has expressed satisfaction over the momentum of development in relations between India and China and wished for furthering the relations.

During a meeting with visiting Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin in the Indian capital Tuesday, Khurshid said on the basis of consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, India is willing to work with China to tap the potentials of relations and strengthen cooperation to expand mutual benefits while handling disputes properly, said sources of the Chinese Embassy here.

Liu said that since the beginning of the year, China and India have been maintaining tight high level exchanges and interactions and have achieved praiseworthy results in bilateral relations.

China is willing to work with India to implement the results of the visit by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to India earlier this year and to prepare the visit by Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh to China later this year, said Liu.

China and India also held the 5th China-India Dialogue in Delhi on Tuesday, during which Liu and Indian Foreign Secretary Sujantha Singh reviewed a wide range of issues on bilateral relations.
