Senior CPC official meets top Laotian lawmaker

BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Liu Yunshan, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with Laos's top lawmaker Pany Yathotou here on Tuesday.

Hailing the China-Laos relationship as a model for reciprocal cooperation and common development between countries, Liu said China is ready to cement neighborly friendship and boost practical cooperation with Laos to advance their comprehensive strategic partnership in a sustained way.

During the meeting, Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, also briefed Yathotou on China's push to fulfill the Chinese dream of achieving the great renewal of the nation.

Yathotou, president of Laotian National Assembly, said the Laotian side admired China for the country's great success of development in recent years and believed China will achieve new victories on the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The Laotian side is ready to make joint efforts with China to boost strategic cooperation in an all-round way, she said.
