Man survives being trapped in cave for 9 days

A worker survived in the wild for nine days after falling into an 8-meter-deep cave along the highway in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said Nanning Evening News on Friday.

The Chongqing man ate garbage and drank rainwater until Thursday morning, when a passerby from a nearby village heard faint cries for help coming from the hole. It took about an hour for local firemen to rescue the man.
