Hua Jiasun, over 70, is a photographer in Shanghai. Since 2011, he started to pay attention to Shanghai Center Building, a new landmark of Shanghai in the near future. His lens records the development of the building in every important stage. Even in the hottest season, he till stepped on the crane to take photos.
Shanghai Center Building, also called Shanghai Tower, has become China’s tallest building, and world’s second highest building after the last beam was hoisted into place on August 3. It reached 580 meters after nearly five-year construction. It will soar to 632 meters, and is scheduled to be completed by 2015.
Along with the nearby 492-meter-tall Shanghai World Financial Center and 420-meter-tall Jin Mao Tower, it amis to become a centre for world-class financial companies and corporate headquarters. The three skyscrapers are named high-rise trilogy.
