Reed harvest in E China's Shandong

Liu Zhankui (L) and his wife reap reed in Zhanhua County, east China's Shandong Province, Dec. 10, 2012. More than 2000 seasonal workers gathered in the wetland area of the Yellow River Delta from November to harvest reed for extra incomes. The annual output of the reed planting industry in the delta area has reached more than 70 million RMB (11.21 million U.S. dollars) in recent years. (Xinhua/Zhu Zheng)
