BEIJING, December 9 (ChinaMil)--The concentrated training in equipment management of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) was held from December 7 to 8, 2013 in Beijing. Zhang Youxia, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA, attended the training.

Zhang Youxia pointed out that it was a great event in the PLA equipment system that President Xi Jinping signed an order to issue and implement the newly-revised Regulations on Armaments Management. He stressed that implementing the Regulations on Armaments Management constitutes an important part in building a regular military.

Li Andong, director of the Science and Technology Committee of the GAD and deputy director of the GAD, Liu Sheng, deputy director of the GAD, as well as leaders from related departments under the four general headquarters/departments of the PLA and equipment departments of various military area commands and various services and arms of the PLA participated in the concentrated training.
