During the week, a confrontation competition will be staged between a delegation of the PLA military academies and an “international simulation battalion” composed of 93 Chinese and foreign cadets.

In an unfamiliar area stretching for 40 kilometers, the fully-armed cadets will hold an actual-troop competition around the clock, focusing on such subjects as orienteering, field camping and night search.

The Chinese and foreign cadets will also carry out training on indoor obstacles and psychological behaviors, meanwhile, the foreign cadets will be invited to houses of Chinese military officers.

The International Cadets Week has been held every two years since 2005. Zhang Yafei, commandant of the PLA University of Science and Technology, said that the week has offered international cadets an international platform on which they can exchange views with and learn from each other, so as to improve their capabilities.
