China's sea island monitoring and surveillance system, which aims to provide information for islet protection, management, law enforcement and scientific research, has been having a trial run.
Within the system, various marine surveillance agencies are interconnected, information is promptly updated and law enforcement archives are being computerized, the State Oceanic Administration (SOA) announced on Friday.
The system will help boost islet management and law enforcement efficiency sharing information across 124 marine surveillance agencies and can issue early warning for emergencies.
