BEIJING, Jan. 5 -- Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Sunday urged members of the united front work departments to rally forces for ongoing reforms.
At a meeting held for officials of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) united front work, Yu said the united front departments should constantly improve their work performance to rally forces and pool wisdom for the realization of various reform goals.
Yu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, urged enhancing the cooperation level between the CPC and other parties.
He urged unswervingly encourage, support and guide the development of non-public economy.
Yu, who is also chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, urged adhering to the policy of freedom of religious belief and asked relevant authorities to help believers and personnel in the religious circle to play a positive role in promoting economic and social development.
