On December 9, construction on the Hubei Chinese Dream Valley International Health Resort Tourist Area Project, funded and constructed by Sichuan Hengxinyuanda Investment Group, begun in a big way in the Northern New City of Laohekou City.

This project is one designed to build a new city complex that integrates a theme park, business streets related to particular themes, urban commercial complexes, high-end residential areas, high-end residential areas of garden-styled houses, and areas of health tourist villas into a single body. Its planned investment is RMB7.5 billion in total, and its area is 2,786 mu. The whole project is divided into 2 stages. The investment of Stage I is RMB5 billion, mainly for the construction of relevant supporting tourist projects such as Dream Valley Amusement Park, Dream Road, Start Hotel, A-Class Office Building, hospital, school, high-end residential area, and golden street and silver river. The investment of Stage II is RMB2.5 billion, mainly for the construction of projects including Lihua Lake Water Entertainment Facilities and Water Sports Center.

The project will be strictly constructed in line with National 4A Level Scenic Spot. After its completion, 3,000,000 tourists will be attracted every year, leading to the business volume of RMB1.5 billion and tax revenue of RMB160 million. The project will be the tourist health resort and leisure sightseeing place for the area of 500-km radius.
