Xiangyang’s wide and deep influence can be reflected by many “Xiangyang” named places both inside and outside China. For example, there is a Xiangyang Lane in Heping District of Tianjin, a Xiangyang Street in Jinshi of Changde, Hunan Province, and a Xiangyang Road in Shiyan, an adjacent city to Xiangyang. Shanghai is also home to both the bustling Xiangyang Road and the renowned Xiangyang Park. Streets named after Xiangyang also could be found in Hong Kong, Taiwan as well as USA and Japan. In Kangwon Province of Korea, there is even a prefecture-level administrative region named as Xiangyang Prefecture. No doubt, these Xiangyang-dubbed places speak volumes for the wide-spread reputation of Xiangyang as well as the high recognition Xiangyang has gained beyond boundary.
