YANGON, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A launching ceremony for Chinese TV drama series ("Jin Tailang's Happy Life") in Myanmar language was held in Yangon's Sedona Hotel Saturday evening under the cultural exchange program of China and Myanmar.
Myanmar Deputy Minister of Information U Ye Htut and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Yang Houlan said at the ceremony that the broadcasting of the first Myanmar language version of the Chinese TV drama series in the country is one of the cultural cooperation and exchange events to help viewers for better understanding of China, and it will also help to promote the traditional friendship between the two peoples.
The TV series to be aired by Myanmar's state TV starting Thursday features a social family life story in China and the Chinese TV series will become the first foreign one of its kind being dubbed with Myanmar language and telecast in the country.
