Beijing announces detailed property curbs

Xinhua)  19:00, April 01, 2013

Citizens pay taxes for housing transaction at the Sixth Taxation Office of the Chaoyang District Local Taxation Bureau on the first working day after the Beijing government announced detailed property curbs in Beijing, capital of Beijing, April 1, 2013. The municipal government of Beijing on March 30 spelled out detailed rules aimed at cooling the property market following the central government's fresh regulatory plan earlier this month. Single adults with a permanent Beijing residence registration, who have not made purchases in the city before, are allowed to buy only one apartment, according to the announcement. Meanwhile, the city will raise down payments for second-home buyers and vow to strictly implement the 20-percent tax on capital gains from property sales. (Xinhua/Luo Xiaoguang)
