NEW DELHI, March 26 -- In yet another gangrape case, four men allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman in the Indian capital late Tuesday evening, a senior police official said Wednesday.

"The incident took place in the south of the national capital when the victim was returning home. We have arrested three of the four accused in the case and a manhunt has been launched to nab the fourth suspect who is on the run," he said, on condition of anonymity.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added.

Gangrapes are common in the Indian capital.

In December 2012, a 23-year-old medical student was brutally and fatally gangraped by six men on a moving bus in the national capital.

The incident sparked nationwide protests, forcing the Indian government to bring in stricter laws for sexual offenders.
