TEHRAN, Jan. 25 -- The United States Volleyball Federation has invited the Iranian volleyball team to play four friendly matches in Los Angeles, California, Tehran Times daily reported on Saturday.

The US volleyball federation sent a letter to Iran on Thursday and officially invited the Iranians to hold a training camp in Los Angeles.

The Iranian team will play four friendlies against the US on August 9, 13, 15, and 16 according to the report.

Iran defeated the US volleyball team 3-2 at the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup in Tokyo, Japan in November.

Iran's freestyle wrestling team was also invited to the United States in May, 2013 and beat the US team 6-1 at historic Grand Central Terminal in New York city.
