CAIRO, Dec. 12 -- At least one soldier was killed and 18 others, including six civilians, were wounded on Thursday in a car bomb attack in Egypt's Ismailia governorate, east of Cairo, state-run MENA news agency reported.
The car bomb exploded near the camp of central security soldiers in Ismailia, killing one soldier and injuring 12 others, MENA quoted Interior Ministry sources as saying.
Six passersby were also injured in the bomb attack, the source added.
The injured have been taken to nearby hospital for treatment.
Attacks against security forces and soldiers in the restive Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal cities have dramatically increased since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi by military on July 3, leaving dozens of soldiers and policemen killed.
