KIEV, Dec. 11 -- Ukraine's Boryspil International Airport, Zhulyany airport and the central railway station in Kiev were reopened to public following a false bomb alert, the country' s Interior Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.

"Law enforcement officers are figuring out the identity of the man who called the police and reported about possible threat," the statement said.

Several thousand people -- passengers and staff of the three public buildings were evacuated by police at around 3:00 p.m. local time (1300 GMT) following a bomb threat.

Police received an anonymous call, in which the caller claimed that there are some explosive devices in two airports and inside the building of the central train station.

This is not the first bomb alert in public places in Kiev this week. Subway stations in the capital were evacuated four times during the last three days after police received calls from unknown persons, who had claimed there were bombs inside the metro. Those alerts turned out to be false.
