Unknown gunmen on Tuesday launched separate attacks on security and military installations in Egypt's canal cities of Port Said and Ismailia, leaving two soldiers dead and another one wounded, official news agency MENA said.
Masked militants on a motorcycle fired randomly at security personnel guarding a customs office in Port Said, killing one soldier and seriously wounding another one.
In another attack, a soldier was killed when gunmen attacked a military vehicle in Ismailia.

On Monday, at least ten people were killed and more than 50 injured in separate militant attacks in capital Cairo and Sinai governorate.
Over the past three months, after the armed forces toppled the Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, Egypt has witnessed a series of gunmen assaults on government institutions, especially the police stations and army checkpoints.
Sinai Peninsula is one of the most affected areas as the militants took it as a base for launching almost daily attacks on police and army premises, killing dozens of soldiers and policemen. The security forces have staged massive operations to uproot the terrorists.
