TRIPOLI, Oct. 7 -- The biggest bloc in the Libyan parliament, National Forces Alliance (NFA), strongly condemned the raid carried out by the U.S. forces in Tripoli to capture Abu Anas al-Liby who was allegedly involved in the bombings against U.S. embassies in 1998.

The political coalition led by Mohamed Jibril, who run the first Libyan transitional government after the fall of the former regime in 2011, released a statement on Monday, saying "NFA confirms the condemnation of all forms of terrorism and extremism as it condemns equally the violation of the Libyan state's sovereignty by another state."

According to the statement, such a violation is a violation of the Charter of the United Nations as Libya is still a member of the United Nations.

U.S special forces captured Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai, known by his alias al-Liby, in a raid on his house in Tripoli while he just returned from the down prayer, Liby's son told the media.

Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan demanded clarifications from U. S. officials on the military operation, which was considered as a kidnapping of the Libyan citizen on Libyan soil.
