JERUSALEM, Sept. 21 -- An Palestinian allegedly killed an Israeli soldier who he had held captive in the West Bank to demand the release of his brother jailed in Israel, Israeli media reported Saturday.
The suspect, Nadal Amar, worked with the soldier, Tomer Hazan, at a restaurant in the Israeli coastal city of Bat-Yam.
He allegedly persuaded Hazan to come to his home in the West Bank village of Sinrya and later killed him, Ynet website said.
The report said Hazan was killed in a field next to Sinrya and his body was hid in a well.
Amar's brother is serving a 30-year term in an Israeli prison for participating in a bomb attack against Israeli citizens.
