White House: Intelligence report on Syria to be released this week

The White House says that the US is still on track to release an intelligence report on Syria this week.

Deputy spokesman Josh Earnest said at Thursday’s briefing that US President Barack Obama has spoken with German Chancellor Angella Merkel about Syria. He also said that President Obama was still assessing the situation seriously before making an eventual decision on how to respond to the crisis in Syria.
