OSAKA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Japanese space agency JAXA announced it had called off Tuesday's launch of its first Epsilon rocket, local press reported.
The new rocket launch to carry a planet-observing satellite, which had been scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday from the Uchinoura Space Center in the southwestern Japanese prefecture of Kagoshima, was canceled due to battery problem, according to Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK), Japan's public broadcaster.
