CAIRO, Aug. 19 -- At least 25 policemen were killed and three others wounded in an attack by militants targeting two buses in Egypt's North Sinai, a security official told Xinhua on Monday.
The two buses were carrying recruits from their base in Tawilia village in North Sinai's Rafah city to their homes to spend vacation, when a militant group intercepted them by force.
The unknown gunmen forced the policemen to leave the bus and put them in lines, and then started shooting excessively, the source added.
The military helicopters are transferring the wounded to hospital for treatment.
