BOGOTA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Two members of the guerrilla group Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and an army soldier were killed Friday in fighting in southwestern Colombia, officials said.
The confrontation took place in a rural area of Caldono municipality in the southwestern Cauca region, after the army located a guerrilla camp, where soldiers seized a large arsenal, brigade Commander of the 29th Unit Carlos Salamanca said.
"There were fightings all day, with soldiers confronting the FARC. During the combat, we had support from the Air Force. A soldier was killed," Salamanca said.
