JERUSALEM, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Israel is among top 10 countries and regions with highest percentage of millionaires in ratio to the population, according to a report issued by the International Boston Consulting Group, a global management and business consulting firm.
Israel ranked No.10 with 84,000 millionaires as of 2012, out of a population of 8 million people, said the report titled " Maintaining Momentum in a Complex World: Global Wealth 2013."
Qatar topped the ranking with 50,000 millionaire households (14. 3 percent of households) out of a population of 2 million, followed by Switzerland, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore.
"There are plenty of thriving businesses here to keep them afloat," the report writes of the wealthy Israelis, "from booming technology companies to exploiters of natural gas fields."
