6.7-magnitude quake hits off Torishima, Japan -- JMA

TOKYO, April 21 (Xinhua) -- A 6.7-magnitude earthquake hits off Torishima, Japan, said the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

The epicenter was initially determined at 29.9 degree north latitude, 139.6 degree east longitude, with a depth of 450 km, said the JMA.

Tremor was felt in Tokyo and the quake was registered 2 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in parts of northeast prefectures.

No Tsunami warnings were issued, according to JMA.
