Most nationals advance to Korea Open quarterfinals

Most Chinese badminton players have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Korean Open Badminton Championships. In men's doubles, only one pair of Chinese players advanced.

Most Chinese badminton players have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Korean Open Badminton Championships. In men's doubles, only one pair of Chinese players advanced.

In the men's singles, top seed Chen Hong beat his opponent in two straight sets. Third seed Xia Xuanze defeated teammate, Chen Yu, to get through, while fifth seed Bao Chunlai failed to make it.

In women's singles, only Zhou Mi lost out when she went down to German Player Xu Huaiwen. In the quarterfinals, four Chinese will have to fight it out to advance.

In doubles, the Chinese women have two pairs through while the men's only managed one, with second seeds Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng losing to an Indonesian pair.

Meanwhile, the newly formed Chinese mixed pair Chen Qiqiu and Zhang Tingting got an easy victory in Thursday's match.
