Int. machine science congress meet in China
Some 500 machinery engineering experts from 48 countries and regions worldwide convened Thursday in Tianjin, a port city in north China, for the 11th congress of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFPMM).
Some 500 machinery engineering experts from 48 countries and regions worldwide convened Thursday in Tianjin, a port city in north China, for the 11th congress of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFPMM).
China hosted the event for the first time, in conjunction with prestigious Tianjin University.
During the four-day gathering, attendees will probe 17 frontier academic topics, in a bid to advance the development of study on machinery engineering science.
The congress is of great significance to help upgrade China's machinery products and increase their competitiveness in world markets.
Set up 1969, IFPMM now has 45 member countries and regions.
