Water leakage accident traps six miners in Jilin

A water leakage in a well of coal mine on Monday morning in Tonghua City of northeast China's Jilin Province trapped at least six miners working underground.

A water leakage in a well of coal mine on Monday morning in Tonghua City of northeast China's Jilin Province trapped at least six miners working underground.

The exact number of people buried in the No. 2 Well of the Shunfa Coal Mine in Er'daojiang District, Tonghua city, and their current conditions were not available by press time, according to local sources.

Officials from the Jilin Provincial Government and Tonghua Citygovernment are coordinating rescue efforts at site and the exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
