Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Monday that the war on terror is not over, it will continue everyday and everywhere.
"The Jewish people has the right to strike out against those whose intends are our extermination," Sharon said in a brief address to legislators from his Likud party.
"This is a difficult struggle that all the countries of the enlightened world must participate in," he said.
The Israeli forces assassinated Hamas' founder and spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin early on Monday after the wheelchair-bound 67-year-old leader finished the morning prayers in a mosque near his house in Gaza City.
Sharon termed Yassin as an "arch-terrorist" who plotted attacks that killed hundreds of Israelis.
