Italy offers aid for veterinary institute in China's Qinghai

Italy will offer 2.88 million euros (3.54 million US dollars) worth of free aid to a veterinary institute in western China's Qinghai Province in the coming three years, according to a bilateral document.

According to the memorandum of understanding inked here Monday at the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the aid, from the Italian government, will be used in training staff and purchasing teaching and experimental facilities for the veterinary school.

The project will serve to train professionals and promote the development of livestock in the province, an official with the MOC said.
