Tyson to tour China to ease bankruptcy

At a price of US$ three million, former heavyweight boxing world champion Mike Tyson is expected to visit China and have a formal match. Agreement has been reached between Beijing Competition Administration Center and agent on behalf of Tyson on Mar. 10 to ensure Tyson��s tour as soon as possible.

Zhang Heng with Beijing Competition Administration Center disclosed that the boxing star��s tour is composed of two parts: first is a 10-day visit to China in June, 2004, mainly exchanges with Chinese boxers, some visits, sightseeing and charity activities. Then in October 2004, Tyson will come to China again for a formal commercial match against the preliminarily set well-known Russia heavyweight.

The sponsor noted the price for Tyson in the two activities is estimated as about US$ three million in which the first part takes up the most. Sources say Beijing Competition Administration Center has reached agreement with Tyson��s agent that if things go well, the two sides will hold a press conference in Las Vegas, the famous gambling center in the Untied States in April.
