Flight opens between Shenzhen, Taipei
Air Macao opened a new passenger air route linking Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, to Taipei City, on the island province of Taiwan, via Macao on Tuesday.

About 100-plus passengers were aboard the first flight on an Airbus-A319 that took off at 12:40 p.m. from Shenzhen Airport. The whole trip takes about three hours.
The flights are twice daily for the time being, taking off from Shenzhen at 12:40 p.m. and 8:25 p.m. and leaving Taipei at 8:50 a. m. and 4:35 p.m.
Air Macao has opened flights from eight major cities on the mainland to Taipei via Macao. It has transported some 7 million passengers across the Taiwan Strait since 1995.
