Chinese basketball star Yao Ming has muscled his way to his first win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Yao Ming scored 29 points and 10 rebounds, including a pivotal three-point play with 15 seconds left, as the Houston Rockets defeated the Mavericks for the first time in last seven meetings, 101-98.

The Mavericks have dominated the Rockets for the past two seasons and were the only NBA team the Rockets had never beaten.
