At a key match for a seat in the final of the 47 th table tennis worlds on Mar. 5, Hong Kong, China whitewashed Japan 3-0

with three 3-0 wins in the women's semifinal. It was the best performance of Hong Kong team in recent years.

Hong Kong lost to Japan 1-3 in group matches but regained confidence after winning South Korea.

Chinese women's teams will meet at the final on Mar. 6.

China's men's team is now against German team at semifinal. Latest result is Ma Lin beat Timo Boll 3-1
