The Super Tuesday triumph could cement Kerry's grip on the Democratic nomination to run against President George W. Bush in November elections. Edwards is forced to consider dropping out of the race as Democratic Party leaders sought to unite against Bush,an Associated Press report said.

John Kerry is set to win the Democratic nomination to run against President George W. Bush in November elections after John Edwards decided to drop out of the Democratic race on Tuesday.
John Kerry has won Democratic primaries in Ohio, Connecticut, Maryland and his home state of Massachusetts.
Edwards told supporters in Atlanta: "I want to congratulate my friend, Sen. John Kerry."
