Chinese teams get second wins

Chinese men's team beat their Japanese rival while the women's squad maintained their incomparable position on Mar. 2, the second day of the 47th World Table Tennis Team Championship held in Doha, Qatar by whitewashing Russia 3:0, ending up a second win.

Chinese men's team beat their Japanese rival 3-0 in the third round of group matches. Wang Liqin beat his rival 3-1 (6-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-7). Later Kong Linghui 3-0 (11-2, 11-4, 11-9) and Wang Hao three 11-5.

Previously, Chinese women's squad maintained their incomparable position on Mar. 2, the second day of the 47th World Table Tennis Team Championship held in Doho, Qatar by whitewashing Russia 3:0, ending up a second win.

Today's line-up was Wang Nan, Niu Jianfeng and Guoyue. Wang Nan, the first player beat her rival 3-1 (7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-3). Later Niu Jianfeng added one point as she breezed past her Russian counterpart (8-11, 11-8, 11-8, 12-10). At last, Guo Yue, the one famous for her man's style in China's squad, axed the most well-known Russian player 3-0 (11-6, 11-4, 11-4).

At 21 hours Beijing time, Chinese women's squad will play against Taipei, China, the third rival while their men's teammates Japan and Italy in the second and third round respectively.
