Chinese paddlers make sweeping opening at World Team Championship

Meanwhile, China's men's team upset their French counterparts 3-0.
In the first round, Zhang Yining and Li Ju beat veteran French paddlers 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 12-0) and 3-1 (10-12, 11-4, 13-11, 14-12), while Wang Nan narrowly won 3-2 (11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 11-13, 11-8).
Wang Hao, Ma Lin and Wang Liqin beat their counterparts 3-2 (11-4, 8-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-5), 3-1 (7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 11-8), and 3-0 (11-5, 11-8, 11-9).
In women's first round, South Korea nipped Russia 3-0, Singapore, Taipei China 3-1. Now China, South Korea and Singapore rank top three in Group A.
