Putin lays wreath to Tomb of Unknown Soldier

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, Fatherland Defender's Day, laid a wreath to the Tomb of Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall in the Alexandrovsky Garden.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, Fatherland Defender's Day, laid a wreath to the Tomb of Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall in the Alexandrovsky Garden.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and other members of the cabinet, leaders of parliamentary factions, prominent military commanders, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and head of the presidential administration Dmitry Medvedev took part in the wreath-laying ceremony.

The presidential orchestra played the Russian hymn, and then a guard of honour company marched by the Eternal Flame.
