Chinese starlet Dong Fangzhuo on Feb. 22 afternoon made his debut in an Antwerp derby between Germinal Beerschot and Royal Antwerp, with the former sealing a 1-0 win at home.

Dong was called to replace forward Arthur Gomez at the 13th minute in the second half, when Antwerp lagged behind Germinal at 0-1.

Inspired by his first show at Antwerp, Dong was too enthusiastic to create good chances. He didn't shot either.

"He was not aggressive, he played like a gentleman," a Chinese fan complained after the match.

The 19-year-old forward was reluctant to comment on his debut show, but he said he was "not satisfied with his performance" .

In fact, Antwerp was a little bit more dominant than the home team in the first half, but its players wasted several chances including a golden one against the lone goalkeeper.

Germinal got the lead with its only chance at the 34th minute and managed to keep it in the second half.

Antwerp is in a hazardous position for only 16 points, tailing at the Belgian first-division (Jupiler) league.
