China opens new cargo air route to USA

China Cargo Airlines Ltd. (CC-Air)has opened a new cargo airline to Dallas,Texas,the first through cargo route from this east China metropolis to the southern UnitedStates.

China Cargo Airlines Ltd. (CC-Air)has opened a new cargo airline to Dallas,Texas,the first through cargo route from this east China metropolis to the southern UnitedStates.

There will be three round-trip flights every week, according toa source at CC-Air.

Thanks to the new air route, cargoes wil be able to directly reach central and southern parts of the United States without being transferred at Chicago or having to go on other flights, thesource said.

CC-Air has six MD-11 cargo planes, compared with only one in 1998.

The trade between China and the United States has kept developing since China's entry into the WTO. The volume of freightincreases by 20 percent annually.
