FM spokeswoman on Indian-Pakistani peace talks

China is glad to see that the peace talks between Pakistan and India held in Islamabad have beenfruitful, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue Thursday.

China is glad to see that the peace talks between Pakistan and India held in Islamabad have beenfruitful, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue Thursday.

Zhang made the remarks when asked to comment on the Indian-Pakistani peace talks and the consensus on the agenda for the nextround of talks reached by the two sides.

During the talks, India and Pakistan have made arrangements forthe main agenda and schedule for an all-round talk and they reached consensus on a peaceful solution to the differences between the two sides.

She said it is a solid step for further alleviation of thebilateral relations between the two sides, which is welcomed and supported by the Chinese side.

"We hope that both sides will make more efforts to continue theprocess of dialogue and jointly devoted to the peace and development in the region," she said.
