Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and former minister of internal security Mohamed Dahlan are expected to hold a reconciliatory meeting next week at Arafat's headquarters in Ramallah, well-informed Palestinian sources said Tuesday.

According to the sources, the meeting was the fruit of Palestinian mediation after the resignation of former Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, in whose cabinet Dahlan was one of the ministers.

Dahlan had been repeatedly slammed by members of Fatah central committee after Abbas insisted to offer him the portfolio of interior ministry, a major reason for disputes between Arafat and Abbas.
