'Sunshine' project to offer rural people job training

A project called "Sunshine" will be launched this year to offer 2.5 million rural people job training programs in catering and hotel services, health care, construction, manufacturing and domestic service, a national conference on rural science and education heard Tuesday.

A project called "Sunshine" will be launched this year to offer 2.5 million rural people job training programs in catering and hotel services, health care, construction, manufacturing and domestic service, a national conference on rural science and education heard Tuesday.

The project, to be jointly launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Finance, aims to promote farmers' capabilities to work in these fields, and subsidies will be given to trainees.

More occupational training programs would be offered to rural laborers, said Vice-Minister of Agriculture Zhang Baowen at the meeting.
